If you live in the SF Bay Area, please come to a book-launch party celebrating my debut novel, Judging Noa: a Fight for Women’s Rights in the Turmoil of the Exodus.
Based on a few biblical verses, Noa pursues inheritance rights to save her sisters and herself from bondage, putting her on a collision course with an unbending patriarchy. Set against the tumultuous Exodus, this timely tale has as much meaning today as it had then.
My presentation will include a slide show on how and where they lived, questions I had while writing (how come they needed manna if they were traveling with goats and sheep?), a brief reading, and a party with sweet and savory snacks, beverages.
