South Bay Interfaith’s Climate Gathering. We met at San Jose’s First Unitarian Church to find ways we all could help halt climate change: Unitarians, Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians. Strength in numbers! We met to help pass CA state climate bills and let others know the importance of these bills. We mingled, we sang, we presented ways forward. I’ve seen climate change coming for years. My first magazine article, for Chicago Magazine, decades ago, was titled “The Solar Solution.” My first newspaper article, for the Christian Science Monitor, also decades ago, was on the problematic future of Colorado River water.
